Volatile market conditions in oil prices expected to continue

17 Sep 2019

Dear Clients,

Following the escalation in circumstances and ongoing developments surrounding the attacks on Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure over the weekend, it is expected that oil prices may see stronger levels of volatility than usual for the time being.

Whilst these market conditions may present some trading opportunities, you should be aware that they may also result in wider spreads and reduced liquidity during periods of particularly high market volatility.

In order to protect yourself against these circumstances, it is advisable for you to manage your open positions carefully and to ensure that you have sufficient margin in your account during these periods of high volatility.
